Loading your washing machine
By loading your washing machine correctly you can save money and electricity
If the machine is too full, the laundry cannot be spun in the drum correctly and is not washed properly. If you put too little laundry in the machine, you are wasting electricity.
Rules of thumb for normal washing cycles: You should be able to fit your hand with fingers spread on its side on top of the washing inside the drum of the machine. In the case of delicate or wool garments, the drum should only be half-full.
Furthermore, you should pay attention to the washing machine manufacturer’s recommendations regarding the different washing cycles.
