Persil Sensitive range has been certified by the European Center for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) as an allergy-friendly detergent. With regard to the use of the preservative methylisothiazolinone, the ECARF seal means that only a very low dosage is used, which is below the threshold amount cause of undesired reactions. In addition, ECARF has also tested that the preservative is completely rinsed out when washed in a washing machine. The test refers to a normal loading of the washing drum and use of the detergent in the recommended amount.
What is particularly taken care of in detergents for sensitive skin?
In the case of a detergent for sensitive skin, special attention is paid to a high level of skin compatibility. So Persil Sensitive has been approved as a skin and allergy friendly product by the European Foundation for allergy research (ECARF, European Center for Allergy Research Foundation) tested and confirmed.
Both Gel and Megaperls contain specially developed fragrances that are compatible with skin allergies and no colorants.
Can pure white laundry also be achieved with detergents from the sensitive product range?
Even skin-compatible detergents such as Persil Sensitive Megaperls® ensure you the high cleaning standards of Persil and help you achieving a pure white laundry.
Are allergy sufferers only allowed to use detergents without fragrances?
This is not true. Preservatives do not have a direct impact on the most common skin irritations, but are, on the opposite, relevant ingredients to protect against bacteria, yeast and mould.
While solid detergents such as Persil Sensitive Megaperls, due to their chemical composition, do not require preservatives, a preservative additive may be necessary for liquid detergents to ensure product stability. For this reason, preservatives are listed amog the ingredients of Persil Sensitive Gel with the aim to protect the product and ultimately the consumer from the rise of microorganisms such as to protect bacteria, yeast and mould.
Should allergy sufferers use less detergent than what indicated on the product pack?
No. Persil Sensitive should always be dosed according to the water hardness and the degree of soiling of the laundry following the instructions reported on pack.
